London Photography Workshop – general photography techniques & working with available light including low-light photography BOOK ONLINE
Autumn Colours in Ashridge Forest – 17th November 2013, dawn start at the Ashridge Estate Hertfordshire & Buckinghamshire border. Photography tips to make the most of the autumn colours, mist and macro photography. BOOK ONLINE
What’s included…? A typical photographic workshop will last for approximately 4-5 hours. We either start at dawn or a few hours prior to dusk depending on the location.
The price for each workshop participant will be £75 and includes all tuition. There will be a maximum of 6-8 persons on each workshop (unless stated otherwise). The price does not include any transport or food & drink.
Inspired Light photography workshops are ideally suited to all levels, from beginners just starting out to advanced DSLR photographers looking for hints and tips. Due to our small group sizes we are able to tailor elements of the tuition to each individual.
Both Film & Digital SLR users are catered for and we are also experienced with working with compact point & shoot cameras, compact system cameras (CSC), four thirds and bridge cameras. Some of the more advanced workshops will concentrate on techniques that can ideally only be achieved using a modern Digital SLR (DSLR). If you are unsure if your equipment is suitable, please drop us a line and ask.
Subjects that may typically be covered are:
- Composition: choice of viewpoint, maximising the visual impact of your photos, impact of lens choice on composition
- Exposure: Understanding scene modes / Camera metering modes / aperture priority / shutter priority / relationship between lens aperture & shutter speeds / creative exposure / manual exposure
- Focussing: depth of field, selective focus
- Using & understanding available light
- Night & Low Light Photography
- Equipment choice and making the most out of what you have
What’s needed? Ideally a digital SLR (DSLR) or film SLR, although compact point & shoot, compact system (CSC), four thirds (4/3) and bridge camera users can be catered for. A tripod is highly recommended for low-light & night shots. Lastly, comfy shoes are a must for outdoor workshops as we are likely to walk a fair distance between locations.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
